The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Medical Writer who is passionate about the power of lifestyle intervention, like nutrition, lifestyle changes, and supplements, as a primary tool for managing chronic conditions. You will be the bridge between our complex medical research and our growing community of users. Your goal is to translate our cutting-edge science into engaging, actionable, and empathetic content that helps users navigate their chronic health journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Content Creation: Craft high-quality, evidence-based, patient-facing content for key app features, including the Questionnaire, Medical history, Health report (with disease descriptions), Action plan, and Progress tracking.
Scientific Translation for Community Engagement: Distill complex medical subjects, study results, lifestyle medicine protocols, etc., into clear, "human-readable" stories for our articles, blog, newsletter, webinars, and podcast.
Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all content is medically accurate, cited with peer-reviewed literature, and compliant with health tech communication standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Medical Research team and Product Engineers to integrate health education seamlessly into our Ancestra Health app.
User Research & User Support: Occasionally contribute to our User Research and User Support initiatives to gain a deeper understanding of our community and provide direct assistance to our users.
Candidate Profile
Educational Background: Degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Nutrition, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Ancestral Health Focus: You have a deep understanding of (or a strong desire to master) the principles of evolutionary biology, lifestyle medicine, ketogenic diet, ancestral health, and functional medicine.
Language Mastery: Native-level English proficiency, with the ability to convey complex medical concepts with nuance, clarity, and impeccable grammar.
Writing Excellence: A proven track record of writing for patient audiences. You can switch between "Medical Journal" and "Lifestyle Blog" tones with ease.
Advanced AI Literacy: Expert-level skill in leveraging LLMs to accelerate and advance content production while ensuring the final 'human touch'—guaranteeing 100% medical accuracy and the empathetic, thought-leadership voice of Ancestralize.
Tech-Savvy: Experience working in a startup or health tech environment is a significant plus.
Strong Foundational Math Skills: Math & statistical literacy with the ability to accurately interpret lab test data, biomarker ratios, and understand basic biostatistics to ensure scientific integrity.
