Dysbiosis is an imbalance, driven by inappropriate diet and lifestyle, in the types and amounts of microorganisms (such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses) living on barrier surfaces, especially the digestive tract. Dysbiosis triggers a cascade of immune stress.
